Extended Description

Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council Programme Grants are aimed at UK research groups, multi-institutional consortia included, as a flexible mechanism for providing funding to address significant major research challenges.

Programme Grants aim to support a variety of related research activities focusing on one strategic theme. Most proposals will be interdisciplinary and collaborative; however they can address key research challenges in a single discipline. Programme Grants are aimed at strategic areas of research.

Programme Grants can be awarded for a period of up to six years duration.

Areas of research supported are:
•Engineering
•Information Communication Technologies
•Mathematics
•Physical Sciences

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be research groups based in the UK. Applicants are required to discuss their suitability for programme grant funding with an identified EPSRC contact before submitting an outline application via Je-S.
